ESXPress converts insurance scope PDFs, and structured scope XML exports, into Xactimate ESX files. Because those files become real claim estimates, we treat accuracy and honesty as the product. This page explains, in plain English, how every export is checked, how your data is protected, and exactly what role AI plays. If something here is unclear, contact us at hello@esxpress.org or call (918) 9-PDF-ESX.
Accuracy & Verification
Every file is checked before it reaches you
Each ESX file passes a Automated validation before we call it ready. The checks cover the file's structure, line-item codes, prices, and math, the same categories a senior adjuster would review by hand. Files that pass show a green “✓ Checked” badge; files with notes show an amber “Checked with notes”; anything failing is never presented as checked.
- Codes are matched where the price list has one , line items resolve to real Xactimate SEL codes; anything we cannot resolve keeps your document’s own price and is flagged for review, never guessed.
- Prices come from your PDF, never guessed, every line carries the price on your source document. On import, Xactimate reprices the lines that carry a matched code to whatever price list your own copy of Xactimate has loaded; lines with no code match keep the PDF price and are explicitly flagged for review instead of being guessed.
- Math is re-checked, component sums, quantities, and grand totals are validated so a bad total can't slip into the file silently.
- The reprice trap is blocked, files never emit Xactimate's catch-all codes (9500/9501) that silently reprice on import and inflate totals.
The Accuracy Report, per line, in plain English
On every ready conversion, the “View Accuracy Report” button opens a per-line breakdown: which lines are matched to a real code (matched to a code), which kept the PDF's price (kept PDF price or general quote), and which have no matching code (needs review). A summary line, e.g. “38 of 47 lines matched to SEL codes”, gives the verdict at a glance, and unresolved lines are never default-priced.
Security
Your data is encrypted, monitored, and protected
- TLS 1.2+ in transit, all connections between your browser and ESXPress are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Encryption where it counts, W-9 tax identifiers are encrypted at rest, the managed database encrypts at the storage layer, and ESX output files use the ESX container format's standard wrapping (a requirement for Xactimate import compatibility, not an at-rest security control).
- Breach notification within 72 hours , if a confirmed breach affects your data, we notify affected users within 72 hours of confirmation, per our policy.
- SOC 2, in progress, we are actively pursuing formal SOC 2 Type II certification and currently align controls with the AICPA Common Criteria 6 (CC6) framework. We will update this page the day that changes.
Privacy
Your scope documents belong to you
We collect only what the product needs: the scope PDFs you upload, the extracted line items, and your account details. Uploaded documents are used to produce your ESX file and are not sold or shared for advertising. You can delete conversions, and our full policy spells out retention, your rights, and how to contact us.
AI Policy
AI does the heavy lifting, you do the final review
ESXPress uses AI models to read scope PDFs, identify line items, and draft supplement language. Scope XML skips the reading stages entirely, structured data is parsed deterministically, with no AI reading involved in the conversion. AI output can contain errors, which is exactly why every generated file carries verification checks and an accuracy report, and why our AI Disclosure says it plainly: you are solely responsible for reviewing every line item, price, and total before submitting. No claim about AI output is ever “guaranteed correct.”

Uptime & Status
System health, live and honest
Our status page shows live system health: conversion queue depth, the most recent file generated, and the current data edition. If something is degraded, it is listed, we don't hide incidents.
