Credit where it's due: CapOut has been in this market longer, and its direct Xactimate sync is a real capability we don't offer yet — we're honest about that gap and it's on our roadmap. We also acknowledge their line-item caps are generous on Pro (1,000 lines). What we don't do is charge per line or truncate scopes — every conversion includes up to 500 line items.

Hands-On Notes (August 2026)

In our August 2026 hands-on check, CapOut's upload flow worked and the analysis UI is slick — then processing failed at 95% on two attempts ("Document processing failed"), and the free tier forces single-document uploads with an immediate upsell.
